I have a website running Concrete 8.4.5. I’m being asked to reconnect to the community. (It’s been since last fall that any edits were done on the site.) CCMS is not recognizing the domain (the development URL is still associated with the project) and asked me to add the live domain. I’ve done that but Concrete is still not recognizing the domain.
I would like to delete the project, free up its assets, then recreate the project on the new platform. Is that doable? If not, please advise on what I need to do to get the site connected to it’s project in the community. Thanks.
Adding the matching domain should be enough. What did you change that caused it to lose the connection in the first place?
If “free up its assets” means you want to transfer licenses to a new project, you can do that. Just release them from the project and they’ll be available to assign to a different project.
I’m not sure how the project was disconnected. When the new community rolled out, I had a few sites I had to reconnect by adding data to Config in the database. This site completely separated from the community, however.
This is what is happening with this website.
After I log into ConcreteCMS and click “Extend concrete5” I get the following:
When I click on “you should be on the new site” I have to log in again and I can get at my projects from the profile page. If I click on “Projects” in the menu to the right on the above page, It takes me to the same page.
I’m instructed to go into the project page for this website and register a domain for the site.
As you can see in Figure 3, there are four instances for this project. Three of them show the original development URL used when the site was being built. The first entry is the valid one. It has the theme and addons I purchased associated with it (Figure 5).
After I log into ConcreteCMS and click “Extend concrete5” I get a message saying the base URL does not match a registered instance of the site. Please click below to authenticate your site again.”
Below that message is a link to the project page on Concrete5. Below that is a link, “Re-connect to Community”.
When I click on the project page URL and login to the community, I get a message saying, “This is the old marketplace.” I can access my projects from there (Figure 1).
As you can see in Figure 1, there are four instances for this project. Three of them show the original development URL used when the site was being built. The first instance is the valid one. It has the theme and addons I purchased associated with it.
I registered the domain with this project, and I added it to all instances of the project, though none of the others show any of the licenses associated with the project.
Regardless, the website is still not connecting with any of the projects in my account. Can you help me understand what is happening here and how to fix it?
