SQL Syntax error - core 8.2.1

This might have something to do with it - the table name escaping:

I’m getting an SQL error on login which I’ve never seen before and I can’t find anything about it in the forum… can anyone point me in the right direction? Error is this: An exception occurred while executing ‘SELECT g.gName, u.uID FROM g LEFT JOIN UserGroups ug ON ug.gID=g.gID INNER JOIN Users u ON ug.uID=u.uID AND (u.uName=? Maybe updating to 8.5.7 first is the trick?
