I have upgraded my site from 8.4.4 to 8.5.12 successfully. The dashboard then reports an update is available to update to 9.5.7. That was the goal of this exercise. The update to 9.5.7 is applied and when I go to login the login page is loading with a blue bar “sign in” however the username and password fields appear and disappear instantly, so I’m not able to log-in. The front-end is loading as expected, just the back-end is not working.

Browser console shows this error:

> Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘fire’)

What could I try to resolve the issue?

If I interrupt the loading of the page (ESC) I’m presented with the fields and I’m able to log-in. Though what could the trigger be for hiding the fields?

What theme are you using? Was your login page in v8 styled with the site theme?

There were 2 pages in httpdocs / application / single\_pages removing those and it works as expected.

Good find. Old v8 single\_pages overrides seem to bite a lot of people after the jump to 9, I’d have a quick look through the rest of application/ for leftovers like that before calling it done.
