An unknown symbol appears before the search box

Hello everyone.

I added a “search block” in 9.3.9.
An unknown symbol appears before the search box.
When I check the source, I see that it is a Font Awesome search.
Why is the Font Awesome search not showing up?

The font-family seems to be ”Font Awesome\ 5 Free”.

□ is gone, but the “Search icon” still doesn’t appear.

Does changing the locale fix it? It seems like it might be a problem with charset encoding or something.

Where is that common.css file located? It looks like it might belong to a custom theme.

f002 is the unicode character for the search icon, but the ¥ should probably be a backslash \

common.css was a custom theme.
backslash \ becomes ¥ in Japanese.
I tried changing the locale to English, but the result was the same.
I will ask the theme creator about the problem and look into it myself.

Thanks.

I get Greek letters showing up sometimes in the dashboard, usually in the ‘<’ and ‘>’ symbols and usually after performing some function and the page refreshes. I can’t pin it down and it’s not been a major problem so I just live with it.
