Anyone ever used Sphinx Search?

Migrating a site to a new server but it uses Sphinx Search to run various searches on the site.

Can’t seem to get it working and just wondered if anyone has experience using it or could help me?

@TMDesigns I have integrated Findologic and Elastic search previously. So based on my expertise and reviewing the Sphinx search documentation interested to discuss further.
