I have no idea what the function of composer is?
I thought I could find it in the back-end and figure it out, but its not listed?
I found this old legacy page on composer: https://legacy-documentation.concrete5.org/editors/dashboard/pages-and-themes/page-types/composer/
This legacy page says “Composer is concrete’s built-in blogging tool”.
OK, so that makes some sense, I’m now looking for that tool in the back-end of core 9 … Hmm, not listed.
Very confusing as its mentioned as something you can open from the dashboard?
Composer is the view you get when you create a new page and the Page Settings automatically opens.
You can add Attributes to the Composer view so that a user fills in the page’s information when they first create a page and doesn’t have to manually create the content.
Composer is not a “blogging tool”. You could use Page Attributes and Composer to build an easy to create blog page (click add blog entry, fill out the form, publish). But you have to setup the Page Type properly for that to work. Here is a good step-by-step on what you need to do to get things configured properly - Setup a simple blog within Concrete CMS 5.7
Thanks a lot hutman, that makes more sense.
Although this page was published in 2015 (9 years ago!) I can see It’s basics are unchanged.
I just wish the documentation for core 9 had been updated before they removed all add-ons etc to version 8. Its so confusing trying to piece together old info with a brand new core.
Anyhow much appreciated!
