It has one set of comments sitewide. This was an issue when it’s in the Page Type Defaults at one point too but that might have been resolved.

The SaaS demos take 2 mins to setup at this point, so it was pretty easy to test the current state:
Conversations added to regular areas via page defaults work as you’d expect, page by page.
Conversations added to global areas simply don’t load.
Good to know! The last time I used the comments block was on a 5.6 site and it created a unique one for each page.
Yes. This is how it works if you put it into a local block area via page defaults.
If you put it in a global area, it doesn’t work at all.
