Concrete 5 v9.3.5 - File manager takes a long time to load

Could anyone let me know what might be the possible issue when accessing the Files view in the dashboard? The file manager takes a long time to load. I am using an external storage location on my site, but temporarily disabling it and switching back to local storage did not improve the loading speed at all.

Thanx in advance.

What version of Concrete? IIRC, some 5.7.x versions could be a little slow in some situations.

how many files are you tracking? After switching back to local storage, were all the files also available locally? Have you tried clearing the cache?

The title refers to version 9.3.5. :slightly_smiling_face:

The version of Concrete is 9.3.5. After switching back to local storage, I cleared the cache, but it did not have any effect. The file manager still takes a long time to load. Even after switching back to local storage, all the files remain in the external storage location (AWS).

I upgraded to 9.3.6 and now Files doesn’t work at all
Rest of the site seems fine, everything else works… but ‘an unexpected error has occurred’ on Files.

too tired, not enough coffee

This should be resolved now in 9.3.7

I have updated to the concrete to version 9.3.7, but still File Manager has poor performance with S3 bucket. For example when loading a page of images in the File Manager (both in the dashboard, and while editing a page and browsing for images), the more files there are, the slower the page will load. These load times can easily get to 10-40 seconds. Has anyone else found performance is poor with the File Manager when using S3?
