FYI, so far I’ve found that the Calendar block is breaking due to a lack of JQuery definitions within the block, I’m guessing there’s probably more blocks like this out there in core.
Unless JQuery is required in the theme (and I don’t read anywhere that it is) the jQuery dependency should be handled within the block code – as now I have to hack/override core code to make it work, which is always a terrible proposition.
