Creating a documentation site similar to the concrete documentation section

I have a need to have a documentation section of a web site that is very user friendly. I have considered using a wiki backend, but I think those generally come out looking intimidating. I need a few articles for very common issues and questions. Something similar to the Concrete CMS documentation section would work perfectly. (User Guide :: Concrete CMS)

I am having a hard time searching the forums for any content related to this, as the term ‘documentation’ generally comes up as referencing documentation.

To that end, I’m curious if anyone has any tips on how to achieve this. It feels like a page that has a common index, but I don’t want to have to recreate the index on every page that has documentation. It also feels like it’s just a site map displayed next the content, but I feel like there is something more nuanced and deliberate about the way that the documentation is done on Concrete CMS’s site.

Any guidance in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure if you have looked through the repo at GitHub - concretecms/documentation.concretecms.org: Documentation website for Concrete. yet but it is likely a good place to start. I have not worked with this code specifically but I believe it is what powers the current Concrete CMS documentation so may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Hopefully this helps get you going in the right direction!
