Received an email from google search console saying that there is a 404 error on the page"https://domain/concrete/images". I am not sure why google is trying to index such a page which obviously doesn’t exist. But where is the link?
What I have given as “domain” above is gantrup.dk, so the full link that google is complaining about is https://gantrup.dk/concrete/images
It is true that it doesn’t exist, and it shouldn’t. Question is what makes the google bot believe it should?
the /concrete/images folder indeed DOES exist. Google should not be attempting to index it though…
Yes, Google shouldn’t be attempting to index it. But you can do a disallow using robots.txt as well.
