Error returned when attempting to download updates and or marketplace items

I get a “Whoops” error page returned whenever I attempt to download the update or marketplace items. I have checked permissions and all seems well on that front. I am running version 9.1 (want to update to to 9.1.2). and PHP version 7.4. Manually uploading works but downloading anything crashes the site. Does anyone have any insight into this issue?

#10014 describes a whoops arising from flawed code in the error handling for err…ors when connecting to the marketplace This change is untested because testing would require the initial error condition. It adds checks to avoid class::method error inside the exception handling for marketplace update. As a fix, I don't know if the calling code to which the Error or ErrorList object is returned can handle an ErrorList (line 230) This is a messy fix. Better would be to restructure this method to avoid variant object type for $pkg. (line 243)

I can’t remember which core version that went into.
