Is there a way to display folders and files in a root and branch view like similar to the sitemap?
Is there a way to copy and paste a folder with its contents (files and subfolders)? For instance, creating a set of folders for a user, then copy and pasting to clone for another user.
Is there a way to apply advanced permissions to a File Set?
The Document Library block will list files/folders on a page. I assume that is what you wanted.
Advance permissions will allow folders and or files to be included or excluded from viewing by user and or group.
I have built a member based site and files/folders are set to allow users or group to have access. When the user visits the page they only see files they have access to in the document library.
Having multiple copies of files is problematic when the file needs to be updated. The permissions approach uses the same file for all users.
File sets do not have permissions attached and use the folder or file permissions.

To clarify, I’m referring to the backend File Manager vs. a front end document library. The backend file manager only seems to display as a flat list. What I’m looking for is a directory tree structure view with the ability to drill down on sections with hints that folders contain subfolders like the sitemap or member groups.
This kind of file folder tree structure does display when selecting a User’s default storage folder, but I don’t see a way to enable a tree view in the File Manager.
Having a clipboard copy and paste function built into the File Manager would be helpful for creating redundant folder/file structure for multiple users.
I still need to test how the Advanced Permissions flow through a File Set. File sets make a lot of sense to reduce redundancy and group files, but I assume if a user doesn’t have permission to view a file, they would never know it exists in a File Set. That’s why I was hoping Advanced Permissions could be applied to a File Set, then if you have permission to view a File Set for a topic, you could use those existing files regardless of where they’re stored in the File Manager structure.
