I’m using Concrete version 8.5.4 and PHP version 7.3.
Thank you in advance for any advice provided.
I would like to widen the block size that accommodates the logo in my site’s nav bar (the block inspected in the image below).
Essentially, there’s a lot of free white space, on both sides, and I’d like to have a longer logo not be limited in size to that little square, if possible.
Please note, I’m not a programmer. What would the easiest way be for me to horizontally enlarge that block for a wider logo, like I’ve drawn below?
I had thought of the same thing when I first started using this cms and what I came up with is creating a Hero img block and placing it above the site nav bar, but for my purposes I wanted it to fill the whole page on top and works fine. You can create your own site logo and change the default one from within the css file.
Edit:
I am using version 9.3.4 so not sure if this method will work for you, but maybe an upgrade would be in order so you can get the newer things? This is what it looks like on my site using the above mentioned method of Hero img:
Thanks very much! Glad you found a solution that works for you.
Mine’s actually fixed now! My best friend very kindly wrote me some more custom CSS. It’s just as I wanted it now, and I’m very happy.
By the way, in terms of updating Concrete, I actually did that a while back (to the latest version, including changing the version of PHP I was using to the most recent version) and it messed up my site to a large degree, so I rolled it back to an earlier version.
Could that be because the Replica theme (from the Concrete Marketplace) that I use hasn’t yet been updated to match the new version of ConcreteCMS?
