Hungarian Translation and Support for Concrete CMS

Dear Concrete CMS Team,

I would like to share a few ideas with you regarding the Hungarian localization of Concrete CMS:

  1. Translation of the documentation pages into Hungarian.

  2. Localization of the forum and its system into Hungarian.

  3. Inclusion of the Hungarian language in the multi-language installation process.

  4. Establishment of a Hungarian support team.

I am currently working on translating the CMS into Hungarian, and I expect to complete it by the end of next week. Additionally, I would be happy to assist with the above-mentioned translations if I receive the necessary files or permissions. I am also willing to help establish a Hungarian support team.

I strongly believe that implementing these improvements would significantly increase the number of Concrete CMS users in Hungary. Currently, around 90% of Hungarian websites run on WordPress, but as is widely known, WordPress has become a frequent target for hackers. If we could implement these changes, many website owners might consider switching to Concrete CMS instead.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.

Best regards,
Kármán Tamás

You’ve probably already done this, but head to https://translate.concretecms.org, sign in and request to join the Hungarian language team: Teams :: Hungarian (Hungary) :: Concrete CMS

It looks like Hungarian is only at 48% translated for now - my understanding is if you get that past something like 95% (but obviously you’d aim for 100%), the language then becomes available for install.

I don’t think there’s translated versions of the documentation, but that one is a bit easier to work around because of being able to do automated things like this: Learn how to extend Concrete CMS.

About that point: Hungarian will be automatically included in the default multilingual setup once the core translation reaches at least 95% (currently it’s at about 48%).
If the translation is at least 60%, you can also install the Hungarian language later on, via the “System & Settings” > “Basics” > “Languages” dashboard page (click the “Install/Update Languages” button).

Yes, I know that there is no Hungarian translation of the documentation page yet. I have written a thousand, and I will gladly prepare one as soon as I get the appropriate rights to edit it.
I would also like to inquire about your opinion on the Hungarian forum page?
