I need to install the CivicUK Cookie Control which shouldn’t pose any issues BUT do I need to remove/disbale the existing IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, being in the UK this is needed to be compliant.
If this isnt possible then where is the configuaration for the existing IAB?

When you say ‘remove’ the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework , what do you mean?

That stuff is really only relevant when you decide to use it as part of your integration, it doesn’t do anything automatically (as far as I’m aware).

I’ve written an add-on for Civic, I just have it in a private repo on Github for now. I could be convinced to open source it.

I’m not a huge fan of it Civic to be honest, it works, but the way it handles scripts is a bit fiddly. I much prefer how the open source cookieconsent scripts work (e.g. what I used in our Cookie Consent add-on).

Thanks for that yes looking at the site again and I realized I cloned it from another of my sites which uses the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. I am constrained to using Civic for this build. But I would agree with you about Civic, but as the client is paying for this they will get a funded version. I will try out the plugin would make life easier. Will let you know how I get on.

Well I would be happy to test drive the civic plugin if you care share?

Thanks
Martyn

I’ve added you to the repo
I haven’t made it public yet, and there’s no readme - but it should be pretty self explanatory.

Thank you, going to try it out now
