Messages in 8.5.4

Any luck with this? On v8.5.4 there seems to be no clear way for members to reply to private messages, or even to send one. Do I have to turn on advanced permissions and assign sending and replying to members? Please help :pray:.

How have you setup the ‘Mail’ settings in dashboard->settings?
There is the ‘SMTP Method’ to setup and the ‘Email Importers’ to setup.
You may need to also setup the ‘System Email Addresses’
Note, I would recommend using the ‘External SMTP Server’ for the ‘SMTP Method’
