We currently have a client with a multisite setup that has the same blogpost on each website in its own version of the language e.g en-BE, en-SE, etc. We know that it is possible for these pages to be linked in a normal setup however we are currently missing the option to link these in a multisite setup.
Will this feature be implemented in the future or will we have to build a workaround?
Interesting question! To make sure I can give you the right advice:
- Are you planning to build a multilingual site structure inside one Concrete CMS site ?
- Or do you prefer to create a separate site for each language using the multisite functionality?
And when you ask about “sitemap references,” do you mean SEO-related sitemaps or more about how to structure the site trees?
Hi Hissy Thank you for your response,
We currently have a multisite setup in one concrete CMS environment. each site inside of it has multilingual functionality.
This is the sitemap setup:
Yes it is mainly SEO related.
Then, you can link between Page A in Dutch and Page B in English, both in Site A.
However, it’s impossible to connect Page A in Dutch in Site A and Page C in English in Site B.
I know that this is not possible thats why im asking if this will be a feature will be implemented in the future.
It’s better to create pages on a single site if the contents on those pages are duplicated but translated into different languages. I believe the core team won’t implement a feature to connect pages between separate sites.
Alright thank you for your response.
