PDF Link to open to new window

Hello,

Working on the concrete website and we have a PDF linked on our webpage. I would like the link to open to a new window. However when the link is clicked on, it downloads the file instead of opening into a new windows tab.

Use the content block and select the text to use as a link. Click ‘Browse Server’, choose pdf from ‘File Manager’, click ‘Target’ tab and choose ’New Window (_blank)’.

Thank you for your response. We have checked to make sure its set to open new window. However they are still downloading the PDF files.

Should work, which cms version are you using?

Also what to share that when using Chrome and Edge it does this. However when using Firefox it displays the link in a new window.

What issues are you having, this has been a way of doing it for a long while?

How are you setting up the options?

We set up our links just like in the screen shot. We had Even from portland labs look at it and they fix it. Not sure what setting it was but now they are all working again normally. Thank you for reaching out too!

Just to provide some insight into how that works - One can be very specific and define the application/pdf content type within the /application/files location block in NGINX or Apache (or your webserver of choice).
