I’m rebuilding my site from scratch. The old site was in a folder called “site,” and I’m rebuilding in “newsite” prior to going live. I would like to get the new one working, then rename the folders so that the new site is now located in “site.” Are there any issues with doing that, especially with regard to the SQL database? I’m not a PHP person (the reason I’m using a CMS) and I haven’t seen any material that directly explains the relationship of a site to the DB. Thanks for any input.
No, this should not affect the DB, just make sure you clear the cache after renaming your folders.
