SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory

In the last day or so my site is showing ‘SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] No such file or directory‘.

nothing has changed on the server, anyone have any thoughts?

That is a very old site/configuration. At a guess, your host has updated something such as php version or mysql version, and your site is now ‘behind’ in compatibility.

You should check with your host tech support what they have changed.
