Core Hero Image Sizing and Auto Scale/Fit

Sorry, I’m re-posting this here. I originally submitted this under the developing with Concrete section back in 2023, but didn’t get much response and I am still having issues and not sure of a good solution. I was going to try to edit the original post or move it to this section but it appears I cannot edit the post anymore.

How can one get the Hero Image block to better scale images, especially when using the lowest height setting. Even at the max height setting, it still cuts off parts of the image. I’ve tried matching client’s logos to fit the stock Hero image 2600x1214 size and it still cuts off the top and bottom of the image. I’ve even tried smaller images and still get the same result.

This site is currently on Concrete v9.4.5.

Hero Image Responsiveness/auto fit

Hey all, not sure if this should be here or in the Working with Concrete/Help section or the bug section. Feel free to move it if need be. I love the versatility of the new Atomik theme, it’s great for us to use with clients on a minimum budget but still want a little “extra.” The issue I seem to be having has to do with the responsiveness and fitting of images into the Hero Block. Whenever I add images, they always seem to cut off at the top and bottom rather than “auto fitting” into the spa…

Try using a 4:3 aspect image.

Thanks for the response. I did try that and still no go. I actually noticed that even the stock images used for the Hero block are also cut off.
